Dämmerung "Our decision to start this project was born from our great passion for Dungeon Synth."

NOIRE: Hi Dämmerung, can you introduce yourself to our readers?
Dämmerung: Hi, Dämmerung is an Epic dungeon synth project with ambient and atmospheric influences, the project was conceived by Nebelshrat and Askios joined before the making of our Ep called Sweet Sunset On the Battlefield recently released through Depressiveillusionrec and published on several yt channels including AtmosphericBlackMetal Albums.
NOIRE : What does the name “Dämmerung” represent to you?
Dämmerung: Dämmerung, in addition to representing our characteristic atmospheres in the songs, represents our spiritual rebirth and an orientation towards the world of war.
NOIRE : Why did you want to start your Dungeon Synth Project?
Dämmerung: Our decision to start this project was born from our great passion for Dungeon Synth and the desire to transform our art into music.

NOIRE : What attracted you to Dungeon Synth in the first place? What are your favorite DS projects?
Askios: What attracted me to the world of Dungeon Synth were definitely the predominant atmospheres in this genre and the melodies. As for my favorite Dungeon Synth project I would say Fief without a doubt.
Nebelshrat: I got into Dungeon Synth through the advice of friends and acquaintances. As for my favorite Dungeon Synth project, I don't have one because the inspiration comes mostly from the nature around me and my mind.

NOIRE : Do you see Dämmerung more as a musical project, or as a world-building project expressed through music? Do you think Dungeon Synth can exist without a strong visual identity?
Dämmerung: We see Dammerung not just as a musical project, but as a world centered on nature, epicness, and battles. This is clearly expressed in the process that leads us to compose a song, in fact in our compositions there is all the commitment and dedication in this project.
NOIRE: Is there a particular place, book, game, film or artwork that has deeply influenced the atmosphere of Dämmerung?
Dämmerung: This is undoubtedly one of the best questions we have received! One of the major influences certainly comes from the game The Legend Of Zelda, which we are very passionate about, which has directed us to what are the atmospheres and settings we try to create. Subsequently, films related to the world of combat also inspired us in terms of themes and sounds.

NOIRE: What kind of landscapes, places or stories do you envision when you create music for Dämmerung?
Dämmerung: During the creation process we imagine ourselves more in war contexts and landscapes linked to nature. Imagining the scene allows us to compose melodies based on the moment of the latter. In the first Full-Length, which we are working on, this aspect is strongly highlighted. NOIRE: What's the story behind your EP Sweet Sunset On The Battlefield?
Dämmerung: Sweet Sunset On The Battlefield was entirely composed and recorded on July 22. The cover is a painting by Caspar David Friedrich that we have modified making it more similar to the style of our music. The EP consists of 6 tracks, one of which is also present in our first full – length, all set at 432 Hz to improve the listening experience.
NOIRE: What does the creative process behind a Dämmerung track usually look like?
Dämmerung: To compose and record our music we use midi keyboards and certain plug-ins that we choose carefully. The main riff is designed by one of the two components and then developed by both and bring the song to life.
NOIRE: How important are old keyboards, synthesizers and lo-fi textures to the Dämmerung sound?
Dämmerung: For us Old keyboards, synthesizers and lo-fi textures are the basis of our music.
We particularly love the atmospheres we create that are also created thanks to the use of these technologies.
NOIRE: What are your future projects? Dämmerung: We are currently working on our first Full – Length which will be better and fully set at 396 Hz. We advise everyone to stay tuned to our music to which we are very devoted.
